Oh yeah so I made a GF self insert because I’m garbage?? it’s self-insert week!
I came up with a brief episode treatment (sorta) for how I would somehow fit her in >o<;;;
After sailing around the world, the Stan bros decide to come back to the States to seek out more anomalies. Their first stop being NJ, where they believe the Jersey Devil may be the anomaly they’re looking for. Ford managed to find a way to get Stan’s bans lifted for every state so they can keep adventuring together.
They’re driving to the pine barrens in a rented RV when they run into this girl, Cane Leeds, and a group of other younger people who are gathered up with cameras and lights and such. They stop just before hitting her and introduce themselves. Cane is immediately taken with Ford (sort of like how Dipper was with Wendy).
Cane and her gang are actually out looking for the Jersey Devil for a student film she’s calling “Have You Seen the Devil?” She’s more than adamant about it; her friends could care less. The Stans tell her that they’re looking for it also, and she begs to come with them, to which Ford tells her it’s far too dangerous.
She tags along any way, sneaking her way into the woods with them. The Jersey Devil does show up, much to Cane’s excitement. She gets out her camera and starts filming. The brightness of her camera lures the JD her way. She tries to run and somehow manages to get the JD trapped in the Stans’ trap they laid out for it. The Stans find her next to it; angry but also excited to have caught it.
Cane feels a sort of sadness in the JD and decides to get closer to it. She places a hand on its head, the Stans freaking out and telling her not to. She’s somehow able to feel what the JD is feeling and understand what it’s saying by touching it. The JD tells her that there is something big that’s happening that’s causing anomalies, that it calls cryptids, to pop up across the US.
Her and the Stan twins are praised by the state for having caught the Jersey Devil, and Ford invites her to tag along to find out more information about the other cryptids that are popping up.
